Kounosuke Ryuuzenji (柳禅寺 甲之介, Ryūzenji Kōnosuke) is the Ousama (Majesty) Banchou. He was originally a scientist who worked for the secret government organization Yatagarasu under whose project also Gokurou and Homura participated to train to become the perfect supersoldier for Japan during World War II. Obsessed with the idea of creating a warrior that exceeds the limitations of the Kongou genes, Ousama Banchou did and still does cruel genetic experiments. Originally being small, feisty and weak, he even experimented on himself causing his torso and general body size to alter as he infused himself with the Kongou genes.
